  1. Thanks for the info, but that did not work. Either way you would do the define like this in SDCC. #define portb PORTB #define porta PORTA #define trisa TRISA #define trisb TRISB The code works fine but pins RB4 RB5 and RB6 will not go high so I am still where I started. lank23 I guess no ones have a clue...???? lank23

  3. Hello; I am having trouble making pins RB4 to RB7 respond like all the other pins using commands from the PC serial port. I have set up the serial port in Asynchronous mode and have the pic talking to the PC fine, but I can not get any response from RB4,RB5,RB6,RB7. Thanks Some settings: SYNC=0; // Disable Synchronous/Enable Asynchronous SPEN=1; // Enable serial port TXEN=1; // Enable transmission mode CREN=1; // Enable reception mode CMCON = 0x07; // Disable comparators. NEEDED FOR NORMAL PORTA VRCON = 0x00; // Disable Voltage Reference module TRISA = 0x00; // Set port A as all outputs TRISB = 0x06; // Port B outputs (except 1 & 2 for serial)
