About The Pic16f873 Microcontroller

Hi,

 

I'm a university student in Malaysia who undertaking a project that 'Using a graphic module lcd to display the ECG (Electrocardiograph) waveform".

 

I'm going to use a microcontroller to connect with a Toshiba t6963c onboard LCD controller.

 

Does the microcontroller --> PIC16F873 suitable in this project?

My maintain is to display the waveform(signal).

You should be able to do this with the PIC16F873 but if you do not already have the processor I suggesting looking at the PIC18F45xx family. This will give you a pin compatible processor offering more RAM (alway important when playing with graphics), superior instructiuon set, better peripherals, higher performacne etc...
