C macro

Recommended Posts

:o Hi all,

I am wondering if I am the minority who would like to see

 C  Macro  implemented  in c2c .

Is there any plan to implement c macro some time

 the later  in c2c.

 thank

No no , I agree with you totally!!

I think the limited macro facilities are the weakest point of the c2c/c2c++ compiler - and in the last consequence could be the reason to have to change to compiler - this is really sad, because many other things I like so much of this tool.

Also tried to use a standalone precompiler - but this is not possible, because of such C enhancements like 'direct adressing' which will cause an external preprocessor to fail!!!

Also tried to ask Pavel what he plans about the preprocessor but never got any comment  :D

In one of the previous c2c versions I added an ability to preprocess C files before compilation with an external preprocessor (i.e. gnu cpp) At that time I didn't get any feedback about this feature I haven't tested it for a lonk time. Looks like now it's a goog time to resurrect this new feature and add relevant options to the PicAntIDE (and maybe even include a gnu preprocessor into the compiler distribution). I'll try to do it sometime this week.

Played with c2c and preprocessor tonight. Everything looks very good. Won't promise anything but it's very likely you'll get a compiler update with preprocessor sometime this weekend.

Well I must say that this compiler is looking good  and

better ever with ever moment  ONLY because of the

 GREAT support from admin.

Now with the  (promise!!) c macro humming  along ,the ride

will hopefully get even  better ...  rev it up PAVEL
