Recommended Posts

Dave, Pavel,

More than two months ago I reported a serious bug in 32bit math:

http://forum.sourceboost.com/index.php?showtopic=1903

Till today there's no fix. Not even a confirmation or reaction.

Pls can you confirm this bug and tell us when there will be a fix

available?

Regards, Teuniz

The "official" word on it seems to be here:

http://forum.sourceboost.com/index.php?sho...findpost&p=8121

It was mentioned in this thread on May 25, 2006:

http://forum.sourceboost.com/index.php?sho...findpost&p=8011

It seems that the solution to this issue is a low priority.

To work around this the array element can be coppied to a temporary variable to be operated on using 32-bit math and then coppied back to the array.

Thanks for bringing up this issue. When I looked at it last time I couldn't spot why it goes wrong. Today I looked again and managed to find and understand the problem. Will try to schedule work on a fix within next couple of days.

Regards,

Pavel
