Error On Typedef Tick_count

Recommended Posts

I am getting this output:

failure

C:\Program Files\SourceBoost\include\novocfg_pic16t3e5ts1.h(24): error: failure

"C:\Program Files\SourceBoost\boostc.pic16.exe" TFNovoClock0-1.c -t PIC16F877A

Exit code was 1.

Removing target: TFNovoClock0-1.obj

Done

Line 24 is the TICK_COUNT typedef in the novocfg file

// Tick count data size

// typedef unsigned int TICK_COUNT;

typedef unsigned char TICK_COUNT;

Any thoughts as to the cause?

TFcroft4,

Line 24 is the TICK_COUNT typedef in the novocfg file

// Tick count data size

// typedef unsigned int TICK_COUNT;

typedef unsigned char TICK_COUNT;

Any thoughts as to the cause?

It looks like the typedef may not actually be the error. Check what have before the include of novocfg_pic16t3e5ts1.h.

Use the divide and conquer approach: take a copy of the project, keep simplifying the program by removing code and includes etc until the error goes away, then add code back in again until you find exactly the cause.

Regards

Dave
