2 Usart's Support

Recommended Posts

Hello Pavel, Dave

Do you plan to include support for chips with 2 Usarts ?

The chips are :-

PIC18F24J11

PIC18F24J50

PIC18F25J11

PIC18F25J50

PIC18F26J11

PIC18F26J50

I need one of these to use in my new project.

No one of these apears in supported list on the Web site.

If there is some reason to not include them or there is updated list ?

Thank you in advance,

Radislav Yanai.

Although the chips you have listed aren't specifically mentioned, chips such as PIC18F25J10 are supported. You may be able to use that as your target and just create variables at the locations of the second EUSART's registers.

If you don't want to do that, you can use a supported chip with 2 EUSARTs, such as the PIC18F97J60. I have been using one of these with BoostC, and I haven't have any problems yet.

We will add these devices soon. Probably in the next release.
