C++ compiler bug

Recommended Posts

Why does this work?

#define bool char

#define false 0

#define true 1

   bool b8HzModulation = false;

   b8HzModulationIsOn ^= true; //toggle

and this doesn't?

#define bool char

#define false 0

#define true 1

   bool b8HzModulation = false;

   b8HzModulationIsOn ~= b8HzModulationIsOn; // should toggle, but doesn't

In the example "osExample.cpp" I see the statement which I presume works:

   m_ledState = ~m_ledState;

-Any Ideas?
