Boostc 1.6 Alpha Compiler Question...

The help file for BoostC states:

"Arrays can have any number of dimensions. An array must fit into register bank. "

 

So I went ahead and tried to create an array with an "any number" (read: obnoxiously large, must fail number) of dimensions:

Since this array should take up more memory than any one bank, I anticipated the same "memory allocation failed" error as from my previous test, but instead I got this:

 

Error: ID referenced doesn't exist yet, original ID:0x01000100

 

Perhaps it would be better to re-define an array as:

"The size of an array and the number of dimensions it contains is limited only by the size of the bank that will hold it." ?

Actually manual may be not completly correct here. While there is no technical limit for the number of array dimensions in compiler COFF file format may have limit on it.
