Xorwf _portc,f Compiled To Xorwf Gbl_portc, W

Recommended Posts

Sorry if this has come up before.

I have the following simple inline assembly..

void main()
{
asm
{
 xorwf	_portc,F
}
}

but it gets compiled to

main
; { main; function begin
BCF STATUS, RP0
BCF STATUS, RP1
XORWF gbl_portc, W ;; note W should be F
RETURN
; } main function end

I'm using BoostC 1.9.3

This is a compiler bug. For 'xorwf' the meaning of W and F destinations is reversed. Now fixed. Fix will be available in the next boostC release.

Regards,

Pavel
