Extended Instruction Set And Boostc

Recommended Posts

I'm just curious, does BoostC support the extended instruction set?

BoostC supports instruction set from Microchip datasheets. What is "extended instruction set"? Who has extended it?

Regards,

Pavel

The PIC18F252x, PIC18F255x and related variants support an extended instruction set optimized for C compliers. The extended instruction set is enabled with the XINST flag in the configuration register for these processors. The default behaviour of some base instructions are also changed as a result

Wow I didn't even know that they exist :o No BoostC doesn't support them. I will study then and check if they can be used in compiler.
